This past Thursday (May 30, 2019), The City of Newark celebrated the Grand Opening of the City’s latest development, Mulberry Commons Park.
A recent statement from the City of Newark called Mulberry Commons “a milestone in Newark’s economic development, creating a new center of gravity in the City’s growing downtown and unlocking the long-ignored development potential of Newark’s Penn Station, one of the nation’s busiest rail hubs.” -Jared Kofsky
The 22-acre space houses the 4-acre park, terraces, a fountain, public art, seating and, a multipurpose building expected to be used for office & business space. Mayor Ras. J. Baraka was joined by City Officials, Council Members and Residents in the celebration of the new development.
